JANESVILLE β After more than four decades in health care, Jane Curran-Meuli, president of SSM Health Monroe Hospital and SSM Health St. Maryβs Hospital β Janesville, has announced her retirement.
Curran-Meuli started her career as a registered nurse in pediatrics and womenβs health before transitioning into executive leadership.

βShe has dedicated the past 6 years to guiding the strategic direction of both hospitals, aligning with SSM Healthβs Mission and system-wide priorities,β a release said.
βCurran-Meuli is a steadfast advocate for patient-centered care. She has been recognized with numerous awards, including as one of Beckerβs Hospital Reviewβs β118 Rural Hospital and Health System Presidents and CEOs to knowβ for 2025,β the release continued.
In retirement, Curran-Meuli plans to explore Wisconsin and spend more time with her loved ones.

Chelsea Hardacre, chief nursing officer and vice president of patient care for SSM Health in Monroe and Janesville, will serve as interim president for the two health ministries, as of late December.
